Council asserts jurisdiction over wireless facility at 143 Culver Boulevard, refers matter to Planning and Land Use Committee
Summary

The City Attorney reported on a wireless telecommunications facility permit for 143 Culver Boulevard that had gone through the zoning administrator and area planning commission. Residents contended they had not received input or an oral review of permit changes before the area planning commission approval.
The Council adopted the findings that the need to act arose after posting the agenda, voted to assert jurisdiction under Charter Section 245, and referred the matter to the Planning and Land Use Committee for further review and consideration. The roll-call vote to assert jurisdiction was recorded as 11 ayes.
The referral requests Planning and Land Use Committee consideration and a report back to Council within 21 days as provided in the motion.
