The Estacada SD 108 Board of Directors amended its meeting agenda on Feb. 4, 2025, and approved a motion to name Tanner Simmons as a secondary authorized signer and Nancy Hall as an authorized signer in reserve for the period Feb. 5, 2025, through June 30, 2025.
Board members voted to accept revised language for agenda item C and then approved a resolution amendment and the personnel authorization. The board approved amending Resolution 2024-25-1 as part of the process, and later approved the signer appointments by voice vote; the motions carried as announced by the chair.
Board members said the change follows the departure of the district’s director of finance and operations, Mike Ware, and is intended to maintain appropriate signatory coverage and separation of duties for payroll, contracts and other financial authorizations. Board members also described Nancy Hall’s background: she is employed by the Oregon Association of School Business Officials (OASBO) and is described in the meeting as experienced in mentoring business managers across Oregon and available remotely or on short notice on specific days.
The board did not record a roll-call vote tally in the meeting minutes; the motions were approved by voice vote and announced as carried.
The board will use the amended resolution language going forward for financial authorizations through the stated term.
