MONROEVILLE, Pa. — During the Municipality of Monroeville’s Citizens Night and agenda-setting meeting on Feb. 4, municipal staff reported hiring progress, staffing needs and early financial results for the recently acquired convention center.
Municipal staff announced that MK Lang will start as the new system manager; Lang is in the audience and is described as having local government experience and advanced academic credentials. The manager’s report said the hiring process began in October and attracted 75 resume submissions; 55 applicants completed the application, more than 30 held master’s degrees, the pool was reduced to 20, then nine, and finally five finalists interviewed by senior staff.
