The Davenport Design Review Board approved a replacement projecting sign for the Carriage House at 312 West Third Street during its Jan. 27 meeting.
Staff described the proposed sign as a projecting sign similar in size and scale to the existing sign, “just over 17 square feet,” with internal illumination and separate upper and lower lighting circuits so one portion can be switched independently. The new sign will be mounted with black metal mounting arms and will not include the support cables present on the existing sign.
Rob, representing Watson Custom Signs, said he was available to answer questions and noted recent ownership changes at the facility and plans for interior updates. Board members characterized the request as straightforward and moved to approve. The motion passed unanimously (Stineker — yes; Payone — yes; Anderson — yes; Malcek — yes; Rashid — yes).
