Provo mayor outlines infrastructure, safety and economic priorities at neighborhood night

Kaufusi said the city has focused on four “Provo pillars” — welcoming, safe and sound, economically vibrant and forward looking — and credited department directors and outside grants for a recent jump in committed funding. “I will not [recommend] a tax increase,” Kaufusi said, adding that the city’s strategy is to pursue grant dollars and partnerships for large projects.
The mayor’s report led with the city’s wastewater and water projects.
