Village officials used the meeting to remind residents of an upcoming public information meeting on Lake Drive and to report on recent community outreach and legislative discussions.
Trustee Stobrand said the public information meeting about Lake Drive will be Thursday at the village center from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., with a short WisDOT program beginning at 6 p.m. Trustees encouraged residents to attend.
Separately, trustees and staff described a winter community event (referred to in discussion as the "chill" event) that drew a large crowd despite skating conditions; organizers said the event included local musicians, a food truck and police participation, and village public works assisted with setup.
Village Manager Ewald reported meeting with state legislators, including Assemblyman Darren Madison and State Senator Drake, to brief them on the village's infrastructure priorities such as lead lateral replacement, water main work, streetlight replacement and the public works facility; officials discussed the potential for legislative briefings so elected officials can understand options and partnership opportunities.
