The planning staff reported the general plan update is roughly 75% complete after about two years of work. A consultant, MIG of Pasadena, is assisting with policy drafting and the environmental review. Planning staff said an environmental impact report (EIR) is being prepared as part of the general-plan update to satisfy the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) requirements for policy and map changes.
