Emmaus Main Street Partners outlines events, business supports and grant plans for 2025

Emmaus Main Street Partners representatives Hayden Rendy and Emily Broski updated council on the organization’s activities and plans for 2025, describing business-support programs, past grant-funded improvements and upcoming events.
Hayden Rendy, introduced as the Emmaus Main Street Manager, said the Main Street partners are one of 30 chambers and councils in the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce model and that the partnership helps draw regional visitors and resources to borough businesses. Rendy noted past Main Street grants funded the planters along Main Street, new handicap-accessible benches at the Triangle and new recycling and trash receptacles.
Rendy said the partners will again work with borough staff to submit a Main Street beautification grant application and invited council to suggest projects for inclusion. She also said the group has supported small businesses during the pandemic with Lehigh County partnership and local grant reserves.
Emily Broski, a coordinator with Emmaus Main Street Partners, described volunteer board activity and offered event updates. Broski said the group hosted a Main Street mixer in November and plans biannual mixers to help business owners exchange ideas. She listed two events on the evening agenda for council review — Farewell to Summer and Old Fashioned Christmas — and mentioned a Soup Crawl on Saturday, Feb. 8, with about "200 plus community members" expected. Broski also flagged Lucky Bucks Bingo on March 16 in partnership with the Emmaus Historical Society.
Rendy and Broski said they will continue notifying council members about ribbon cuttings and other business celebrations and thanked council and borough staff for continuing collaboration. Council members thanked the Main Street representatives for their work and said they appreciate help promoting borough events and beautification.
