Bremerton City Council voted unanimously on Jan. 15 to approve the consent agenda. Items on the consent agenda included claims and checks, payroll, minutes, an appointment, interlocal agreements and utility and grant actions.
Key consent items read into the record by the city clerk included: claims and check register (check numbers 409625 through 409738 and electronic fund transfers V42580 through V42636) totaling $2,230,155.05; regular payroll for the pay period ending Dec. 31, 2024 ($1,170,511.60); retiree payroll for the pay period ending Dec. 31, 2024 ($30,386.28); minutes from the Jan. 2, 2025 council meeting and the Jan. 8 study session; confirmation of Tia Hudson's appointment to the Arts Commission; an interlocal cooperative agreement with Kitsap County for housing incarcerated individuals; Resolution No. 3392 approving wastewater utility service to 1910 Southwest Cook Road; Resolution No. 3393 approving wastewater utility service to 13 properties on Sherman Heights Road; and an Alternative Transportation Program grant agreement with the Washington State Transportation Improvement Board to fund the Warren Avenue sidewalk gap projects.
After the clerk read the items, public comment was opened with no speakers on the consent items. Councilmember Mokler moved to approve the consent agenda and the motion passed with a unanimous recorded vote.
Vote record: Council members present and recorded as voting yes were Chamberlain, Frey, Coughlin, Provolowski, Goodnow, Mokler, and Younger; the motion carried unanimously.
