The consent calendar included two items: receipt and filing of warrants through Jan. 23, 2025, and the minutes of the council—s Jan. 1, 2025 meeting. Council approved the minutes as amended to note a planning commission appointment, and then approved the warrants after councilmember questions about a large contractor payment. Councilmember Reid asked about check 234405, described in the warrants as paid to George Reed, Inc., for "just over $1,200,000."
