The council approved the minutes from the January meeting (one abstention recorded from Council Member Kennedy, who said he was not present at that meeting). The council also approved claim warrants numbered 52162 through 52200 totaling $414,734.50.
The council moved to confirm two planning-commission appointments. Applicant "Mister Tuig" (applicant name as submitted) spoke briefly about his long-term residency and experience leading the Spokane Public Facilities District; council members moved and seconded his appointment and voted to affirm it. The council also affirmed the appointment of Joe David Belize, whom the mayor described as retired military with prior state work experience; the council voted to confirm his appointment as well. Staff will notify the appointees and schedule orientation with the planning director.
These items were approved by voice vote as part of the regular action-items portion of the meeting.
