The motion was seconded and carried by voice vote; commissioners voted to remain on the first-and-third-Monday, 7–9 p.m. schedule.
Commissioner Smith announced he will step down from the Planning Commission after 14 years, citing work and family schedule conflicts. When asked whether his resignation would be immediate, Smith said that, given a conflict with the next meeting date, it "probably makes sense to do it effective immediately." No formal city appointment action was taken during this meeting to fill the vacancy.
