West Richland council approves consent agenda covering plats, interlocal agreements and resolutions

The West Richland City Council on Feb. 4, 2025, unanimously approved its consent agenda, clearing minutes, several resolutions, two final plats and authorization for a grant application that staff said would support sewer extension and other local projects.
The consent agenda included approval of the minutes from the Jan. 21, 2025 regular meeting and the Jan. 28, 2025 workshop; resolutions authorizing a security and improvement agreement (Resolution 05-25), the first amendment to an interlocal cooperation agreement regarding sewer extension related to an RSD project (Resolution 06-25), and setting a public hearing to consider vacating 30 feet of road right-of-way along the southern boundary of Short Plat No. 202880 (Resolution 07-25). Also on the consent list were a proposed interlocal agreement regarding the Flat Top transit transfer station with Ben Franklin Transit (Resolution 08-25), adoption of amended legislative priorities for 2025 (Resolution 09-25), and authorization to execute the fourth amended and restated interlocal agreement for Benton County emergency services (Resolution 10-25).
Council also approved a lease agreement for police department vehicles, the final plan for Red Mountain multi‑use Phase 2 (File PLAT015-2024), and final plans for The Heights at Red Mountain Ranch Phases 6 and 7 (File PLAT018-2024). The council authorized staff to apply for a Benton County capital fund grant to support a sewer extension for a project described in exhibit materials as related to the RSD project.
