The Arts, Parks, Libraries & Entertainment Committee approved its consent agenda on Feb. 4, approving multiple resolutions and ordinances with no recorded opposition.
Approved items included a first amendment to the criteria for operating support and THRIVE grants for the Metropolitan Nashville Arts Commission; an amendment to a grant contract with Rock Life Youth to increase the contract by $22,866 for after‑school programming; in‑kind grants from the Centennial Park Conservatory and the Nashville Parks Foundation for a picnic pavilion feasibility study and youth music/programming support; and an in‑kind grant from the National Parks Foundation to fund a new accessible water fountain at 7 Oaks Park.
Also approved on consent were multiple greenway conservation‑easement ordinances on second reading: BL 20 25 6 9 5 (greenway easement at 1231 Pawnee Trail), BL 20 25 6 9 6 (greenway easement at 1710–50 Fourth Avenue North), BL 20 25 6 9 7 (greenway easement at 8033 Highway 100), and PL 20 25 6 9 8 (greenway easement with MI Homes of Nashville LLC for property at 2600 Pennington Bend Road). Item number 3 had been pulled from consent prior to the vote.
The committee moved the consent agenda and the chair called the vote: the consent agenda passed without recorded no votes or abstentions.
