The Boys & Girls Club of Snohomish County donated 7.34 acres to the City of Everett on the consent agenda Tuesday, a parcel the club said will become a nature trail and park honoring longtime leader Rosemary Lane.
Bill Sikalas, executive director of the Boys & Girls Club of Snohomish County, told the council the parcel was originally owned by Group Health, later purchased by Twelfth Street Partners, and that the developer donated the 7.34 acres to the club. "We voted on that, just before the end of the year, our board of directors did to donate the 7.34 acres, in Rosemary Lane's name to the city of Everett," Sikalas said during public comment.
