After brief acknowledgement there were no questions, the chair called the vote: "All those in favor say aye." Members responded "Aye," and the chair announced, "Motion carries."
The policies augment the Assembly standing rules and joint rules previously adopted by the full Assembly and include guidance on member recognition, materials deadlines for presentations, public-comment limits and procedures for submitting exhibits and amendments. The committee requested that members submit research requests for committee-level work through the chair and that individual members contact the policy analyst for personal research assistance. No roll-call tally was recorded in the meeting transcript; the committee proceeded immediately to a staff presentation by the Legislative Counsel Bureau policy analyst.
