Beltrami County OKs jail facility condition review after low bid

Beltrami County commissioners voted unanimously to approve a facility condition review of the county jail, following committee recommendation and discussion of a lower-than-expected bid.

The board approved the motion to award the jail facility condition review during the regular meeting. Commissioner Sumner moved to approve the review and Commissioner Carlson seconded; the motion carried 5-0.

"We were kind of thinking we're gonna be in that 20 to 30,000 range and when Krauss Anderson came back with that, I the DNO committee, supports that and recommends that," Carlson said.
