MONONGALIA COUNTY, W.Va. — Mayor Lewis reported Feb. 5 that crews have installed traffic-signal poles and much of the supporting hardware at the WVU–Walmart intersection and that curbs and ADA sidewalk pads at the Walmart corner have been poured as restoration work continues.
Why it matters: the new signals and curb realignment are intended to improve pedestrian access and traffic flow near a busy retail and campus corridor; activation of the lights depends on Mon Power providing permanent electrical service and on weather for final pavement marking.
