The Grant County Fiscal Court on Feb. 4, 2025, approved routine meeting minutes and claims, confirmed three appointments in the Grant County Road Department with retroactive effective dates, and authorized statutorily required training incentive payments and a $407.20 Public Properties Corporation treasurer's‑bond payment.
The court approved the minutes of Jan. 21, 2025, and the claims dated Feb. 4, 2025. Magistrate Roger Humphrey made a motion to approve the minutes as written; the motion was seconded and carried. Magistrate Jacqueline Riley made the motion on the claims, which also carried.
The court appointed Chris Miller to the Grant County Road Department as a laborer, retroactive to Jan. 27, 2025. It appointed Joe Gordon as Grant County Road Department supervisor, retroactive to Feb. 1, 2025, as an at‑will employee at his current rate of pay for a period not to exceed two years; the court noted a required certification from the Kentucky Department of Highways had been completed. The court also appointed Ann York as assistant supervisor of the Grant County Road Department, retroactive to February 2025.
By statute, the court approved payments under House Bill 810 to Tabitha Clemens, Shauna Codarne, Chuck Dills, Roger Humphrey, and Jacqueline Riley for completing required training hours. In a separate Public Properties Corporation meeting that followed, the members approved minutes from June 4, 2024, and authorized payment of the Public Properties Corporation treasurer's bond in the amount of $407.20.
