Indian Prairie board approves resolution endorsing Vision 2,030 for Illinois public schools

The Indian Prairie School District 204 Board of Education voted to approve a resolution endorsing Vision 2,030, a statewide K–12 education blueprint that calls for future-focused learning, shared accountability and predictable funding.

Dr. Adrienne Talley, the district superintendent, introduced the presentation and said, “Tonight, my team and I are sharing with you Vision 2,030, which is a blueprint to enhance public education through future focused learning with shared accountability, predictable funding that has been crafted by educational leaders from across the state of Illinois.” Matt Shipley, the district’s chief school business official, described the proposal’s funding goals and asked the state to continue annual investments in the EBF formula. He told the board the Vision document requests the state maintain the prior commitment of adding $350,000,000 to the formula annually.
