The mayor and board approved the final plat for Stanley’s Addition, a subdivision proposed at 2314 West Colorado Avenue that will create five lots, the city’s community development director said.
Jacqueline Porter, community development director, told the commission the site currently contains an existing house and that surrounding zoning includes R‑3 to the north, R‑2 to the west and agricultural zoning to the east and south. Porter said existing infrastructure — water, sewer and streets — is already in place and no additional improvements are required for the plat.
Under the final plat, Lots 1 through 4 are half‑acre parcels and Lot 5 is approximately 1.5 acres and contains the existing residence. The Municipal Area Planning Commission recommended approval 10–0. The board moved, seconded and approved the final plat 7–0.
The platting approval allows the developer to pursue lot sales and building permits consistent with existing zoning and subdivision standards. Staff confirmed they will file the final plat in Garfield County and provide any required recordation documents.
No speakers during the meeting objected to the final plat approval.
