The House Judiciary Committee voted to pass House Bill 1071 on Thursday after a brief presentation from the bill’s sponsor, Representative Scott Richardson.
The bill would add language to existing law to cover images and artificially generated voice created through generative artificial intelligence when used to promote a product or service, Richardson told the committee. "It is just, if you will, language cleanup or addition for changing times," Richardson said while presenting the measure.
