Mitchell Elementary construction update: interior turnover planned May 1, exterior June 1

Carson told the board the district expects to begin cleaning rooms on April 1, take possession of building interiors on May 1 and turn over exterior work on June 1. She described finishing work including drywall, painting, casework installation, sinks and lockers; the gymnasium painting and sound panels are mostly complete. Carson said each grade will have a distinct color scheme and described the school’s innovation pods serving adjacent classrooms.
