Planning Department staff told the Verona Planning Commission on Feb. 3, 2025, that the comprehensive plan project website is live and will be advertised to the public starting the next day. The site includes a short survey, an interactive map for residents to mark community assets, opportunities, and barriers, and a “Share Your Ideas” page for free-text input.
Mr. Severson, planning staff, said the site is designed to promote the planning process and gather public feedback that will help shape future meetings and surveys. “The site is currently live and will be advertised to the public starting tomorrow,” he said, describing features that include an interactive map and a “Share Your Ideas” page where members of the public can mark assets or barriers.
Severson said meeting summaries and presentations will be posted on the site so that residents unable to attend can still review materials and provide feedback afterwards. He encouraged community members to sign up for email updates on upcoming events, drafts and surveys.
When asked whether there were updates on development projects, staff replied there were none at this time. The staff presentation closed with an invitation for commissioners and residents to use the site and sign up for updates.
