RS32114, sponsored by Representative Gerald Raymond, is a resolution urging the federal government to return management of grizzly bears to the state and to review the Endangered Species Act. Raymond said the resolution reflects his view that Idaho has sufficient grizzly populations and is asking the federal administration to delist and transfer management authority. Vice Chairman Shepherd moved to introduce RS32114; the committee approved the introduction by voice vote.
RS32146, sponsored by Representative Ron Mendy, would create a Sunday (Sabbath) season open to muzzleloader hunting only. Mendy described the proposal as a pared‑down version of a bill he had carried earlier. Representative Tanner moved to introduce RS32146; the motion passed by voice vote.
All three motions were recorded as introduced; the committee chair explained the Friday deadline for introducing RSs and adjourned the meeting.
