Committee introduces RS32022, a liability bill for outfitters with gross‑negligence exception

“This is a lot along the same lines,” Shepherd said. “There is still liability, if you do something grossly negligent you still will be held accountable.” He told the committee the draft was simple and that he could discuss details at a bill hearing.

Representative Pickett moved to introduce RS32022; the committee approved the motion by voice vote with the chair announcing “the ayes have it.” The motion resulted in formal introduction of RS32022 and the item will proceed to a bill hearing for fuller review.
The meeting concluded shortly afterward; no additional witnesses or public comment on RS32022 were recorded during the brief session.
