Committee approves ISP alcohol-testing rule docket after public comment period

Wheatley summarized that one commenter at the public hearings reported not receiving the draft, and that no other public concerns were expressed in the hearings. After presentation Chairman moved the docket; Representative Horace (who moved) noted no substantive dispute about the text and the committee approved the docket by voice vote.
Wheatley and committee members said the docket reflected the original document’s substance and that the changes were intended to remove unnecessary or burdensome language while preserving the rules’ meaning.
The committee recorded no amendments at this hearing and adopted the pending rules.
