The Oak Park School District Board of Education on Jan. 27 approved a contracted-services agreement with Rethink Solutions LLC to provide school psychologists, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists and physical therapists for students with individualized education programs (IEPs) and other district-requested evaluations and services.
Trustee Pearman Tanks presented the item. The contract includes an attached rate schedule (identified in the motion as Appendix A) and the board directed that services be paid from the district’s special-education contracted services fund. Staff said the district pays these services on behalf of students and then seeks reimbursement because they are special-education related; reimbursement may come through Medicaid or IDEA in some cases.
The motion was seconded by Trustee Clark and approved by roll call. Board members asked whether the district or the family is billed; staff confirmed the district pays and pursues available reimbursements.
No amendments were made at the meeting and no total contract dollar amount was provided in the agenda item; the motion recorded the existence of a rate schedule in an attachment.
