Powell reviewed the committee’s jurisdictional scope—professional and business licensing, lottery oversight, alcohol regulation, gaming and health-care related regulatory matters—and cautioned members about the communications patterns of certain licensed professions, singling out funeral directors and cosmetologists as groups that can generate concentrated constituent contacts.
With the rules adopted and the quorum amended, the full committee recessed and the lottery oversight and gaming subcommittee convened to take up its business.
