Mason County Community Development announced at the Feb. 4 Board of Commissioners meeting that the previously advertised community input meetings for the Allen Urban Growth Area (UGA) have been rescheduled.
Marissa Watson, the project manager for the county's comprehensive plan periodic update, said the new meeting date is Feb. 27, 2025, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Port of Allen meeting room, 18560 E. State Route 3, Allen, Washington 98524. "The focus for this meeting will be the Allen Urban Growth Area zoning and development regulations," Watson said. "Any comments on the land use within the UGA are welcome."
Watson said the meeting is part of the county's community outreach for the Mason County 2025 comprehensive plan update; additional information is available on the county website project page for the 2025 comprehensive plan update. She provided her contact for questions: mwatson@masoncountylaw.gov.
The original advertised dates in the North Bay Bay Review were Feb. 6 and Feb. 13; Watson said staff had to reschedule the sessions and invited public comment at the Feb. 27 meeting.
