Frasier said property tax statements are at the printers and will be mailed late this week or early next week as the treasurer's office has certified the roll for collections. "I'm also here today to tender my letter of resignation ... Effective July first of 2025," Frasier said.
Frasier said she spent her entire career in the treasurer's office, the last 25 years as the elected county treasurer, and asked the board and the county Democratic Party to allow time to nominate and appoint a replacement to finish her unexpired term and to ensure a smooth transition.
The board acknowledged Frasier's announcement during the meeting; no formal action on the vacancy was recorded at the session. Frasier did not name a preferred successor during her remarks.
Frasier closed by thanking staff in the treasurer's office for their support and commitment over her career. The board offered verbal appreciation; no timeline or process for selecting an interim or replacement treasurer was specified during the meeting.
