Walter said the proposed system would gather existing pathway maps, integrate them with TalentReady Utah and O*NET resources, and present them in an accessible, dynamic interface so students, parents and school counselors can explore options by occupation, entry‑level jobs, stackable credentials and transfer credit. “If I'm interested in the health care field, I can go in and see where could I start, and then what could be the next step, and how much credit could I get,” he said.
Committee members asked whether the tool would be interactive and used by counselors; Walter said it would be dynamic and publicly available to students, parents and counselors, and that partners would include K–12, technical colleges and four‑year institutions.
