The San Mateo City Council approved the Feb. 3 consent calendar by a single motion and roll-call vote of 5-0.
Items on the consent calendar included approval of prior meeting minutes, a Caltrans sustainable-transportation planning agreement, the Poplar Creek tenant improvements budget appropriation and contract change order, and a commitment to explore reach codes for the 2025 code cycle. One item — public works on-call general contracting services — was removed from the consent calendar by staff for consideration at a future meeting.
The roll call showed all five members voting yes: Deputy Mayor Lorraine, Council members Diaz Nash, Swierko Goditsky, Fernandez, and Mayor Newsome. No public comment was received on the consent items prior to the vote.
The items will be implemented per staff recommendations; staff will return with the removed public works contracting item at a later date.
