The West Bend Park and Recreation Commission voted Jan. 30 to approve a naming-rights agreement that would brand the planned Aqua Park at Regner Beach as the Westbury Bank Aqua Park.
Ryan, Recreation Supervisor for the City of West Bend Parks and Recreation, presented terms of the proposed agreement, saying the seven-year partnership would begin only after approval by the City of West Bend Common Council. "If approved, this agreement would establish the Westbury Bank Aqua Park for a period of 7 years, beginning upon approval of the City of West Bend Common Council and ending on 12/31/2031," Ryan said.
Under the proposal, Westbury Bank has committed a total of $60,000 to offset Aqua Park equipment and related construction costs. Ryan described the payment schedule as $25,000 upon signing and additional annual payments of $5,000 for the remaining years, with $30,000 scheduled for 2025 under the draft schedule presented to the commission.
The sponsorship package includes branded signage and co-branded promotional materials, recognition on four obstacle titles within the park, 150 co-branded free-admission tickets each summer (2025 ticket value noted at $8 pending final pricing), and access to the Regner Beach House community room on Juneteenth for Westbury Bank events. The Parks and Recreation Department would also provide free rental use of department facilities for annual financial-literacy forums hosted by the bank.
Ryan said the sponsorship also brings seven years of marketing support for the department, which operates on a minimal marketing budget. He noted collaboration with other donors is planned; West Bend Rotary and Friends of Parks and Recreation will also receive recognition on signage and on inflatables, he said.
The commission moved and seconded approval; members voted "Aye" with no recorded opposition. The agreement must still be approved by the Common Council before it takes effect and before Westbury Bank's initial payment is due.
