At a meeting of the Greene County Commissioners, the body approved routine administrative items and authorized advertising for two mowing contracts: one for the Greene County Event Center and one for the county's new ambulance facility.
The approvals kept county operations moving. Commissioners voted to approve the minutes of the previous meeting and an executive session, the circulated claims docket, and payroll; each item was moved, seconded and approved without recorded opposition.
On the mowing contracts, County Attorney Marvin said the previous contractor, Marvin Holt, is stepping away from the work and the county needs to solicit bids to find a replacement. The board voted to advertise for a mowing contract for the Greene County Community Event Center and for the new ambulance facility. The motion to advertise was moved and seconded and carried by voice vote.
Those actions were taken during the general business portion of the meeting. The commissioners scheduled no further public hearings on the contracts at this meeting and directed staff to post the solicitations.
