DuPage County stormwater committee approves contracts, budget transfers

DuPage County’s Stormwater Management Committee on Feb. 4 approved a series of routine motions including budget transfers and two contract awards to support facility repairs and permitting software.
The committee approved a contract to Dynamic Industrial Services to repair and maintain the catwalk at the Elmhurst Quarry Flood Control Facility for an amount not to exceed $198,000. The measure, recorded as SMP 4 25 on the agenda, was moved by Member Evans and seconded by Member Hinterland and carried without recorded opposition.
The committee also approved a one-year contract purchase order to Accela for a managed application service to provide permitting software support for building and zoning, transportation, stormwater and public works departments. The contract runs from Feb. 21, 2025, through Feb. 20, 2026, and is not to exceed $203,674.38; the item was presented as TEP 3 25 and noted as exempt from bidding. The motion was seconded by Member Owning; the mover was not specified on the record. The motion carried.
Other routine business approved at the meeting included:
- Approval of the minutes of the Jan. 7 meeting (moved by Member Evans; seconded by Member Police). - Approval of the schedule of claims for January 2025 (moved by Member Evans; seconded by Member Police). - Two budget transfer items: one recorded as 25222 (transfers related to part-time help and salary adjustments to cover end-of-year employee payouts; moved by Member Bromell; seconded by Member Evans) and another recorded as 25.297 (transfers from employee medical and hospital insurance to regular and temporary salaries and employer payroll shares to cover payments that exceeded the original 2024 budget; moved by Member Evans; seconded by Member Police). All motions carried without recorded opposition.
