College Place staff outline 2025 Movies in the Park schedule and contingency plans

On contingencies, Garcia said that because the city pays copyright fees to screen films, a rain cancellation typically means the event is pushed to a future date or the following year rather than recovered without additional rights costs. “If there is rain…we have a whole year to play the movie again because we're gonna have to pay for the copyright,” she said.
No formal action was taken; staff will finalize the schedule and proceed with event planning.
