The Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District Board of Fire Commissioners unanimously approved an addendum to the interlocal agreement with Washoe County for the regional P25 public-safety radio system. The district’s total cost under the addendum is $178,228.84, to be paid in two installments: $92,153.84 in fiscal year 2025–26 and $86,075 in fiscal year 2026–27.
Interim Fire Chief Dale Wei reminded the board the original interlocal agreement was approved in March 2020 and said this item reflects additional costs identified since that agreement. The meeting record shows no public comment on the item.
A motion to approve was made and seconded; the motion passed unanimously with the three commissioners present voting aye and two commissioners absent. The district will include the addendum payments in its budget planning for the two fiscal years specified.
