County to post signs warning that Brady Run Lake ice depth is not tested

The official said county staff have noticed people skating and playing hockey at the far end of the lake where the water is shallower and that the signs will inform the public that they are using the ice at their own risk. The speaker said the county plans to place signs near the beach area and pavilion and at other high-traffic points.
The presenter emphasized caution and said the signs aim to make visitors aware that the county is not conducting ice-thickness testing. No ban or formal restriction was announced at the meeting; instead, county staff characterized the action as a public-safety notice.
