County staff reported at the Beaver County Board of Commissioners work session on Jan. 15 that the waterline installation at Brady Brook Park is complete and will be transferred to the utility owner once final paperwork is returned.
The staff member who gave the update said the contractor has completed the work and that, per the original agreement, the utility will be taken over by the receiving agency after final acceptance and documentation. The speaker said they planned to contact Chris Schrowbridge to finalize the paperwork.
The same presenter said work on a nearby lift station is "very, very close" to completion and that staff are awaiting confirmation from engineering firm KLH. Once KLH notifies the county that the lift station construction is finished, staff said they will coordinate with Mark Taylor and the county solicitor to complete the transfer of that asset.
County staff also reported a separate construction contract (referred to during the meeting) has been sent to the contractor for signatures and related closeout paperwork.
No formal action or vote occurred on these projects during the work session; the remarks were provided as department updates. The county solicitor and other staff were listed as contacts for the next administrative steps.
Next steps outlined by staff: confirm completion with KLH for the lift station, obtain signed contractor paperwork, and coordinate with the solicitor and named county contacts to effect the transfer of the waterline and sewer assets.
