Trustees asked about insurance recovery and liability; staff said a claim is open and negotiations are underway between the district’s carrier and the other party’s insurer.
Trustees discussed traffic safety at the crash location. Superintendent Stultz noted that city plans approved funding for a roundabout at the intersection, but no construction timetable was available. The board approved the replacement and asked administration to return with financing details once interest rates and transfer terms are known.
No dollar amount for the replacement bus was on the meeting agenda; staff said financing will be finalized closer to the order date and any insurance reimbursement will be recorded against the district’s transportation fund.
