The Berkeley County Schools Board accepted a personnel report at its Feb. 3 meeting that recorded multiple coaching appointments, resignations, service appointments, substitutes and retirements.
The personnel slate presented included eight coaching appointments (five paid, three unpaid), five coaching resignations, two new extra-duty appointments, three new health-care appointments, one unpaid leave of absence, revisions to leave dates for two individuals, one professional resignation and five retirements effective at the end of the school year. On the service side the report listed five service appointments, two new midday service personnel appointments, several transfers and upgrades to service titles. The slate also named nine new substitute service employees and eight new substitute teachers.
The superintendent recommended approval; a motion to accept the personnel actions was made, seconded and adopted by voice vote. No roll-call tally was recorded in the public transcript.
