Board approves budget transfers, calendar and a student field trip; moves to nonpublic session
Summary
At its Jan. 21 meeting the Keene Board approved a December budget-transfer report as informational (7–0), approved the 2025–26 district calendar (8–0), approved a May KHS field trip to Boston (8–0), and then voted to enter nonpublic session under RSA 91‑A:3 for personnel and student matters.

Budget transfers: The board approved the December budget-transfer report as informational. The slate of transfers totaled $84,919 (individual transfers listed in the finance packet). The board approved the report with an informational motion and the vote recorded as 7–0; the finance committee had considered the transfers at its January meeting.
Calendar: The board reviewed and approved the proposed 2025–26 Keene School District calendar (presented by the calendar committee representing buildings and sending districts). The calendar includes additional early-release days for professional learning; the board approved the calendar 8–0.
Field trip: The board approved a May field trip for Keene High School (voices choir to Boston) as recommended by the education committee; the motion to approve carried 8–0.
Nonpublic session: The board moved into nonpublic session under RSA 91‑A:3 for staff and student personnel matters. During roll call to enter nonpublic, all eight members present voted yes. Minutes of nonpublic sessions are handled according to RSA 91‑A confidentiality rules.
