Calvert County Attorney John Norris updated the Board of County Commissioners on state legislation on Feb. 4, providing deadlines and summaries for bills the county is tracking and identifying one measure the board asked staff to amend.
Norris told the board the Senate and House drop deadlines have passed for many bills and reviewed several proposals affecting the county, including two county-sponsored measures on property tax credits and payment-in-lieu-of-tax authority, and bills that would require environmental and economic analyses for proposed data centers and expand utilities review of transmission corridors.
