Jackson County jail reports 26 inmates, bills Scott County for housing; officials note door, plumbing and warranty issues

Andrew Long, who provided the jail update to the board, said the facility held 26 inmates on Tuesday: 11 Jackson County inmates and 15 from Scott County. He reported a January high of 29 inmates and a daily average of 21.81 inmates for the month.
"So currently, as of today, we are at 26 inmates. 11 of those are Jackson County and 15 are Scott County," Long said. He added that the county billed Scott County $13,805 for January housing and that year-to-date revenue from the arrangement was roughly $14,245.
