The Dubois County Board of Commissioners approved a letter of support for PSC Fiber’s grant application to the Indiana Broadband Office (DEED) to expand rural broadband service.
A county official summarized PSC Fiber’s past work in the county, noting the company "has a successful history in Dubois County of providing broadband services" and that during a previous Next Level Connections effort the company connected approximately "500 locations" (speaker’s phrasing) in the county with the help of American Rescue Plan funding. Commissioners voted to approve sending the letter of support to the Indiana Broadband Office.
The letter is intended to help PSC Fiber’s application reach more rural households in the county. County staff will transmit the signed letter to PSC Fiber and the state broadband office as part of the grant application process.
