County officials said 22 county employees attended CPR and AED training at the highway department to be prepared for future incidents.
Commissioners and highway staff framed the hire as part of routine highway staffing approvals and noted the new hire met licensing requirements. The board approved the hire by voice vote.
The board did not adopt additional policy changes at the meeting; they made routine approvals and directed staff to continue standard onboarding and safety follow-up.
