Pasadena City Council approves package of ordinances and resolutions covering water-plant work, vehicle-repair contract extension and siren agreements

The City of Pasadena City Council approved a package of ordinances and resolutions during its Feb. 4, 2025, meeting that authorizes contracts and appropriations for water-plant equipment, engineering services, vehicle-repair contracts and several interlocal and donation agreements.

Council actions included authorizing procurement of veterinary services for animal control, awarding a pump purchase and installation contract at the Crenshaw water plant, hiring engineering services for lift-station evaluation, increasing appropriations for an existing construction contract, extending an annual vehicle body-repair contract, and approving multiple memoranda of understanding and in-kind donation acceptances.

The council moved the consent and grouped items quickly, with motions called and unanimous “ayes” recorded on the record. The package included: an appropriation of $108,136 for a new Exelon EXC pump for the Crenshaw water plant; $150,000 for professional services for lift-station evaluation; an additional $48,458 for an existing construction contract; a one-year extension of vehicle body repair and painting services with Pasadena Auto Collision; and a resolution authorizing the Pasadena Police Department to apply for a FY25 State Homeland Security Program grant of $33,096.
