The Loudon County Commission held a public hearing Feb. 3 on a slate of rezoning requests spanning multiple parcels across the county and then voted to approve most of the applications, with one item postponed.
County staff member Jim Jenkins opened the hearing by reading the proposed rezonings and citing the governing authority on the process. The applications included parcel-specific requests to change zoning classifications—for example, a request to rezone land at 700 Franklin Road from agricultural/forestry to multifamily residential and a 1.56-acre parcel at 22606 Fields Chapel Road that planning staff recommended for approval.
