Developer proposes four single-family homes at 1875 Dove Drive in South Fulton

Whitney Blanco, founder and CEO of Acreage, told a City of South Fulton meeting that her company is proposing to rezone and replat 1875 Dove Drive in Council District 1 to build four single-family homes.

The proposal calls for demolishing an existing house described in the meeting as about 80–90 years old to make way for new construction near the intersection of New Hope Road and Campbellton Road. Blanco said Acreage is aiming for homes “around 2,400 square feet” and that the project would follow local setback standards—she referenced a roughly 40-foot front setback and about 15 feet for side setbacks.

The proposal is still under review. A staff member at the meeting asked the applicant for setbacks, minimum floor area and renderings; Blanco said the company performs feasibility studies on residential sites and intends to present design details as the process continues. Blanco said the project is intended to “create value for the neighborhood and for property owners.”

Blanco confirmed a public participation meeting is scheduled for March 1 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the South Fulton Library and said postcard notifications have been mailed. City staff reminded the applicant that the public participation report must be submitted by March 10, 2025; the related public hearing is scheduled for March 20, 2025, and the Mayor and City Council will consider the item at their April 8, 2025 meeting.

No formal vote or final decision was recorded at the meeting. The application will advance through the city’s public participation and hearing process before any rezoning or platting action is taken.
